Amec Foster Wheeler wins circulating fluidized-bed contract in Korea

Amec Foster Wheeler announces today the award of a contract by Hanwha Energy Corporation for the design and supply of a 100megawatt (MWe) circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) steam generator for a new power plant located in Gunsan City in South Korea.

Under the contract, Amec Foster Wheeler will design and supply the 100 MWe steam generator for the power plant’s boiler island and provide onsite technical advisory services.  Commercial operation of the plant is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.
