Audit of Lundin Norway AS – Edvard Grieg
Wednesday, Apr 15, 2015
With assistance from the Civil Aviation Authority Norway (CAA Norway), the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has carried out an audit of Lundin Norway AS’s management of emergency preparedness, including helicopter operations at Edvard Grieg.
The objective of this audit was to review and evaluate the management’s administration of emergency preparedness and helicopter operations at Edvard Grieg. We requested a presentation of the processes that Lundin has established to ensure that prerequisites, limitations and recommendations in the emergency preparedness analysis are provided for, and that they are communicated out to the emergency preparedness organisation.
The purpose of the audit was also to prevent air incidents which may be attributable to the helicopter deck or its operation.
ResultNo non-conformities were detected during the audit in respect of emergency preparedness management but certain issues were identified where there was potential for improvement.
The CAA Norway made observations relating to helicopter operations and the helideck.
