Wednesday, Aug 10, 2011
Sartor Offshore has informed that they have not been able to resolve satisfactorily financing of an offshore vessel scheduled for outfitting at Bergen Group BMV in 2.half of 2012. The contract which was signed in January 2011 with subject to final funding had a value of NOK 330 million, and Bergen Group BMV has therefore reduced their order book accordingly.
The funding and board approval related to the contract on the first vessel (NB 168) with Sartor Offshore was resolved in April 2011. The progress in this project is in accordance with plan and will provide outfitting activity at Bergen Group BMV in Q2 and Q3 2012. This contract comprises delivery of a multipurpose offshore vessel which is specially designed to protect both contingency operations and demanding rescue operations. This vessel has a 10-year lease agreement with Statoil for operations in the North Sea.
Most of the workforce at Bergen Group BMV is currently outsourced to other group companies and external companies, while preparing for the upcoming Sartor-project.
